This MIX will have you in happy tears.

Florida-based artist Taylor O. Thomas has kept herself occupied in 2018: she’s been an artist in residence at Deli Grocery, New York; her works made a temporary home on the set of Showtime’s comedy television series, SMILF; and she was included at an exhibition at LeGrange Art Museum. So, as the year comes to an end, Taylor (and her dog) have decided to send us this playlist that has either been on studio repeat for years or has just recently been added to her paint-list. Flirting with nature, this mix is for all the people who enjoy thoughtful, sentimental songwriting, combined with dream like vocals and swelling instrumentals… music you can dance and cry to at the same time. Indie-folk-tronica, magnetic folk-pop, progressive indie, or whatever you want to call it – the music Taylor listens to when she paints has to meet a few requirements. In the artist’s own words it: “A. must include songs with a “big build” (the ones that pump me up as they move along), B. must also include songs that soothe my overly-sentimental side (and make me want to step back and work more slowly), and C. must, for the most part, be ‘singable’— I’m a sucker for harmonising to some good, layered vocals.”

Weaving folk melodies with synthetic beats, listeners will feel swept away to another world entirely.
